As early as Monday, July 25th, Sound Transit will be closing the road to northbound 5th Ave from NE 145th Street to NE 148th Street for utility work. Crews will later close direction of Southbound 5th Ave, which Northbound 5th Ave will be reopened. This work is part of the future Lynnwood Link Extension link light rail project.
What:
- Sound Transit will be performing this work at night to reduce traffic impacts.
- Work may involve typical noise and vibration activities to adjacent neighbors.
- Will consist of (2) working night to complete work, yet multiple contingency nights have been added, in the case that the work becomes delayed
When:

Northbound 5th Ave Road closure: July 25th & 26th, Monday & Tuesday closure hours will be from 9:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.

Southbound 5th Ave Road closure: July 25th & 26th, Monday & Tuesday closure hours will be from 11:59 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Where:
- 5th Ave from NE 145th Street to NE 148th Street.
- Detour routes are in place (see map).
