As early as July 8th, Sound Transit will be closing the 8th Ave between NE 189th and NE 185th Street for underground utility work. This work is part of the Lynnwood Link Extension link light rail project.
What
- Neighbors should expect construction noises and vibration.
- Sound Transit advises that any valuable items are removed or stored in a safe place during construction.
- Roads will be open to local access only.
- There will be no parking on 8th Ave NE between NE 189th Street to NE 185th Street.
- Access to driveway will be maintained.
- Residents will lose access up to a day when installing underground utilities near driveways.
- Driveway access will only be taken during work hours only.
- Contact Community Outreach, Jaybee Ragudo in advance to coordinate access to large vehicles, boats, or trailers.
When
- July 2022 for a duration of approximately six months.
- Typical work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Night and weekend work will occur if needed.
