As early as Monday, June 13th, Sound Transit will begin closing the northbound lane on 5th Ave from NE 145th Street to NE 148th Street for utility work. Crews will later shift and close the southbound lane on 5th Ave and the northbound lane will remain open. This work is part of the future Lynnwood Link Extension link light rail project.

- Sound Transit will be doing this work at night to reduce traffic impacts.
- Work may involve typical noise and vibration activities to adjacent neighbors.
When
- 5th Ave will be open to southbound traffic only on June 14th, 15th, and 20th.
- Tuesday closure hours will be from 11:59p.m. to 5:00a.m.
- Thursday & Monday closure hours will be from 9:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.
- 5th Ave will be open to northbound traffic June 13th & 14th.
- Monday closure hours will be from 9:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.
- Tuesday closure hours will be from 9:00p.m. to 11:59p.m.
