View of I-5 SB closure and work area
As early as Friday, May 13 through Monday, May 16, Sound Transit’s contractor will close the I-5 Southbound lanes from 11 PM – 6 AM and traffic will be detoured to perform work for the Lynnwood Link Light Rail extension. Northbound I-5 will remain open in this area. This work will support the trackway that will cross over I-5. The 46th Ave HOV On-Ramp to I-5 SB will close earlier at 9 PM and the 220th Ave On-Ramp to I-5 SB will close at 10 PM. The MLT Flyover South and North Ramps will remained closed all weekend. The contractor has obtained a Temporary Noise Variance to complete this work.

Full I-5 SB closure will occur:
- Friday, May 13, through Saturday, May 14, 11:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
- Saturday, May 14, through Sunday, May 15, 11:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
- Sunday, May 15, through Monday, May 16, 11:00 p.m. - 4:00 a.m.
