 Interurban Trail Re-Opening and Scriber Creek Closure
A portion of the Interurban Trail near the Lynnwood Transit Center will be restored beginning Sunday, May 1, removing the detour in place for Interurban Trail users for the past 10 months.
What
Sound Transit’s contractor closed a section of trail between 52nd Ave W and 44th Ave W in July 2021 to continue work for the Lynnwood Link Extension. Users will now have access to a temporary trail connection through this area while construction at the future Lynnwood City Center light rail station site continues. A portion of the Scriber Creek Trail remain closed (see schedule below).

- The Interurban Trail will re-open between 52nd Ave S and 44th Ave W (see map).
- The Scriber Creek Trail will remain closed between Interurban Trail and 48th Ave W (see map).

- The temporary trail connection will be paved with asphalt and include a two-way separated section with 10-foot wide lanes, as well as approximately 300 feet of 10-foot wide non-separated trail.
- The Scriber Creek Trail connecting Scriber Creek Park to the Interurban Trail remains closed as construction at the future light rail station site continues; this trail connection is anticipated to open in fall 2022. Users should continue to use the detour route to connect to the Interurban Trail at 52nd Ave W and 44th Ave W.
- Follow all detour signage and stay within marked trail detours.
