Learn more about the project!
We are seeking public comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) until April 28! Comments may include why you’re interested or concerned with certain aspects of the project, or why you might prefer one alternative over another. The more specific you can make your comments, the more helpful they’ll be.
After reviewing the Draft EIS on the online open house or at a participating reading room, here’s how you can comment:
- Email comments to WSBLEDEIScomments@soundtransit.org or submit directly through our Online Open House
- Leave a comment via voicemail at (800) 471-0879
- Mail comments to:
WSBLE Draft Environmental Impact Statement Comments c/o Lauren Swift Sound Transit 401 S. Jackson St. Seattle, WA 98104
Comments can be submitted in any language and will be translated.
There are still many ways to engage with us before the comment period ends. Sign up for a 20-minute virtual office hours session where you can ask project staff questions and they will help you locate answers in the Draft EIS. Let us know what’s on your mind, we’re here to help!
- April 19, 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- April 20, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
- April 22, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
- April 26, 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Due to COVID-19, all office hours will be held virtually as a video conference, unless special accommodations are requested. Please note that Sound Transit will not accept comments on the Draft EIS during office hours; however, there are a number of ways to submit your comment.
Also, we are continuing to host webinars for property owners and tenants who are identified as being potentially affected by one or more of the project alternatives in the Draft EIS. If you received a potentially affected property owner letter in fall 2021 and would like to attend an upcoming webinar, sign up here! Each webinar is one hour and can accommodate up to 30 attendees. If you aren’t sure if you are potentially affected, or just have questions, please email or call (206-903-7229) and we will connect you to the appropriate staff.
- April 19, Noon – 1 p.m.
- April 25, 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Want to learn more about the project and Community Advisory Group (CAG) discussions? The most recent series of CAG meetings focused on Draft EIS, potential cost savings and refinements and was recorded for members of the community who want to watch. Visit our online open house to view previous meeting presentations and recordings.
We are out in the community answering questions about the project, so feel free to stop by one of these events in April.
