As early as Thursday, March 31, Sound Transit's contractor will be closing 8th Avenue Northeast at the intersection of Northeast 185th and 8th Avenue. The lane reduction will begin on Northeast 185th Street between 8th Avenue Northeast to 9th Avenue as crews will begin working on utility installation.
What
- There will be flaggers during the day as traffic will alternating between phase 1 and phase 2 of traffic during the duration of work.
- Drivers should expect traffic delays.
- Work includes typical construction noises from operating vehicles and machinery.
- Work may involve vibration activities to adjacent neighbors.
When
- Work will begin March 31 for a duration of up to approximately two months.
- Work hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where
- Northeast 185th and 8th Avenue Northeast intersection.
- Northeast 185th Street from 8th Avenue to 9th Ave.
