Work area
What
- Sound Transit’s contractors will conduct several full and directional closures of SR 516 between SR 99 and I-5. These closures will accommodate waterline tie-ins and light rail bridge deck construction.
When
- Nightly closures beginning at 10 p.m. through 5 a.m. the following morning:
- March 22 – Eastbound closure
- April 11 – Full closure (eastbound and westbound)
- April 25 – Eastbound closure
- April 26 – Eastbound switching to westbound at 2 a.m.
- April 27 – Westbound closure
Where
- SR 516 (Kent Des Moines Rd) and 30th Ave S between I-5 on- and off-ramps
More
- Crews will try to reduce noise when possible
- Lanes will be closed nightly and open during the day
- Cranes, trucks, and other heavy equipment will be used
- * Work is weather dependent and subject to change
