Construction is winding down along the 14-mile East Link alignment, and systems testing is in full swing. For several nights in February, light rail vehicles traveled at operating speeds to ensure the new line will be ready for passengers when it opens next year.

Starting this month, Sound Transit staff will be installing new ORCA ticket vending machines (TVMs) at SeaTac, Capitol Hill, University District, Roosevelt and Northgate stations. Learn more about the project and how you can let us know what you think.

In February we learned a little more about the planned opening date for the Hilltop Tacoma Link light rail extension in Tacoma – now planned for Q1 of 2023.
