What
Sound Transit's contractors will close State Road 516 (Kent-Des Moines Road) from Interstate 5 to SR 99. 30th Avenue South directly south of SR 516 will also be closed for crews to set bridge girders for future Link light rail service.
When
- 30th Avenue South continuous closure:
- 12/13 – 12/24, closure and detour will be in place 24/7.
- SR 516 closure nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., 12/16 - 12/23.
Where
SR 516 (Kent Des Moines Road) from SR 99 to I-5 on- and off-ramps and 30th Avenue South immediately south of SR 516.
More
- Work will typically take place overnight 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.
- Crews will try to reduce noise when possible.
- Detours will be in place via South 272nd Street and South 200th Street will be in place at all hours.
- Heavy equipment will be used.
