This work has been rescheduled to the week of Aug. 30th. Sound Transit will be closing 1st Avenue Northeast Northgate Way Intersection and Interstate 5 northbound on-ramp at Northgate Way. The night time closure will be utilized to continue guideway construction for the future light rail guideway.
What
- Suggested detour route is located on 1st Avenue Northeast (see map).
- Work consists of heavy equipment and cranes.
- Full closures will occur during work hours and re-open during non-work hours.
When
- Monday night, Aug. 30th to Friday morning, Sept. 3rd.
- Construction work hours are from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Where
- 1st Avenue and Northgate Way intersection.
- Northgate Way on-ramp to northbound I-5
- Access will be maintained for local residents.
