Sparks flying at Northgate rail welding site

Sparks flying at Northgate rail welding site

Contractors on the Northgate Link light rail extension got busy in April welding together the rails that trains will roll over when the line opens in 2021. Check out our story for an up close look at what it takes weld together 80-foot-long rail "sticks." The Northgate line includes stations at Northgate, Roosevelt and the University District neighborhoods and will give you a 14-minute trip from downtown Seattle to Northgate, no matter how bad traffic is on
Interstate 5

Bike Month

Get rolling with bike lockers and cages at our stations!

With "Bike Everywhere Month" upon us, here's everything you need to know to reserve your own bike locker or get access to bike cages at Sound Transit facilities. It's a great way to get into the habit of riding to and from your train or park-and-ride.
