Snohomish County Parks Seeks Public Input for Future Parks and Services Planning

Residents are encouraged to provide feedback and preferences by taking the survey and can enter a drawing for a two-night stay at a Snohomish County campground.

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash., May 28, 2026  The Snohomish County Parks and Recreation Division launched a survey today to gather input from residents. The 2026 survey is a continuation of visioning work that is revisited every six years in an effort to best serve Snohomish County park users. With an expanding population, hundreds of parks, more than 11,000 acres of open space, and hundreds of miles of trails in the unincorporated areas of Snohomish County, this public input process helps ensure county resources are used in the most efficient and strategic way possible.

This survey will collect feedback about park facilities and programs, user priorities and values, as well as barriers that might be keeping people from visiting their parks. To gather feedback and hear from a diverse range of county residents, the survey is available in English, Spanish, Russian and Korean. People who complete the survey have the opportunity to enter a drawing for a two-night stay at a Snohomish County campground (any cabin, yurt or campsite).

The survey is focused on Snohomish County parks, but respondents are encouraged to provide information about all the parks they visit. Community input will help the division decide where to focus its efforts and public resources. The division last reached out with a similar survey in 2020 and 2021. The survey is open May 28 to June 19, 2026.

“Snohomish County Parks are shaped by the people who use and care about them every day,” said Sharon Walker, Director of Snohomish County Parks & Recreation. “As we plan for the future of our parks, trails, playgrounds, shorelines and open spaces, community input is essential. We encourage residents to take a few minutes to share their ideas and priorities through the 2026 survey. Your feedback helps guide how we invest in parks and recreation opportunities across Snohomish County for years to come.”
