Puget Sound Business Journal Everett Event
Last week, I had the great opportunity to attend the 2026 Everett Business Outlook event hosted by Puget Sound Business Journal. The event brings together community leaders and business professionals to connect about economic opportunities, explore future possibilities, and have an open conversation about doing business in Everett and Snohomish County. Thank you to Dan Eernissee for the gracious invite and to the Puget Sound Business Journal for putting on a great event.
Little Kings & Queens Childcare Site Visit
I was graciously invited to Little Kings & Queens Childcare Center as part of an effort to learn more about the challenges and barriers for childcare providers in Snohomish County. Torrie and her husband, Melvin, were great hosts and were able to share a lot of information about the challenges they face as in-home care providers in Snohomish County. I am incredibly grateful for their tireless efforts in providing for the families of Snohomish County.
Snohomish County Page Program Applications Open
This year, the Snohomish County Council is hosting a Legislative Page Program, where students from the community can learn about local government by participating in a week-long program hosted by staff from the Snohomish County Council. I have listed the program requirements below, but please visit the link below for additional information and to apply to the program.

We will be welcoming high school students for the 4th annual Civic Education Day at the Snohomish County Campus. In March, we will welcome students to learn about their local government and meet with elected officials to learn about how they serve Snohomish County constituents in the work that they do. I am always honored to have interested students learn about how they can engage with their local government. The event will be hosted on Thursday, March 12th. If you are an educator who is interested in attending, please email my Legislative Aide, Angela Ewert, at Angela.Ewert@SnoCo.org.
