Donations and Volunteers
Many of our community members have been asking how they can help our neighbors who have been impacted by the flooding and windstorms. In addition to following guidelines for crews to repair service and clear debris, you can help by donating to a charity of your choosing, I have shared a helpful list below. Snohomish County is not able to coordinate donation efforts during the response phase of the flooding event but many charities and the American Red Cross are providing essential disaster relief services.
- The Evergreen State Fair Park is accepting donations for animal bedding and shavings as well as monetary donations to support the free animal stabling they are providing. More information is available here.
- The Community Foundation of Snohomish County accepts donations for local emergencies to support nonprofits in the affected areas.
- Food banks are accepting donated food goods. You can find a foodbank near you here.
- The Red Cross is accepting donations or you can volunteer using this link.
- Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue is also accepting donations through this link.
- In partnership with Snohomish County government, Economic Alliance of Snohomish County has compiled a list of resources for businesses impacted during natural disasters.
Was there damage to your home, business, or farm during recent Snohomish County flooding events? Please fill out the Snohomish County Department of Emergency Management Flood Damage Survey by December 31, 2025. Filling out the survey helps secure potential funding opportunities after a disaster, but these opportunities require timely and accurate damage assessment. A damage assessment should show what was damaged, as well as when, where, and how damage occurred. Reporting damage could help the county reach thresholds for necessary recovery funding. Please consider recording damage by preparing the following:
- Photographs: Take photographs of damage. Photos should clearly show damaged property. If possible, the address of the property should by visible in one of the photos.
- Receipts: Save all receipts for repair and clean up.
- Documentation: Prepare a list of all damaged and affected property.
- Take the survey: The survey will help make the case for recovery resources, including potential assistance and future mitigation projects.
