Dawson Place Transforming Hurt to Hope Luncheon
In November, I had the opportunity to attend several incredible events to support our community. One of those was the Dawson Place Transforming Hurt to Hope Luncheon. The event helps support children served by Dawson Place, ensuring they receive the care and compassion they deserve – bringing safety, justice, and healing to the community. I am grateful for the opportunity to support this organization, and thank you to the community advocates at Dawson Place for the invitation.
Veterans Day Event at the City of Mill Creek
Every year, I get the great honor to attend the City of Mill Creek’s Veterans Day event. This event is held to honor all who have served in our United States military. Thank you to the City of Mill Creek for hosting a very important event for our community and a very special thank you to all those who have served our country.
Swamp Creek Bridge Re-Opening
Snohomish County Public Works has officially opened the new Swamp Creek Bridge 503 in District 4 between Brier and Bothell. The new bridge widens traffic lanes, adds sidewalks for pedestrians, and lifts weight restrictions for large vehicles. Originally constructed in 1960, the 41-foot span had narrow lanes, no shoulders, and no sidewalks. The new construction meets updated bridge standards and improves mobility flow for the nearly 10,000 motorists who cross the bridge on a daily basis. Thank you to the Public Works Department and their partners for bringing this project over the finish line.
Last month, I met with Mill Creek leadership to discuss updates and a roundup of 2025 highlights. Many local governments were faced with challenges in 2025, and I’m grateful for the leadership in the city of Mill Creek for putting its constituents first while navigating these challenges. It is a great honor to represent Mill Creek on the Snohomish County Council.

I attended the Everett Chamber of Commerce Event – From Vision to Takeoff – Executing Paine Field’s Master Plan for Regional Success. The event featured a keynote from Airport Director Joshua Marcy, who provided an inside look at the Paine Field Master Plan 2040 – highlighting a roadmap for the airport’s expansion and modernization for the next 15 years. The plan prioritizes positioning Paine Field to serve 4 million passengers annually, while also strengthening Everett’s economy through new aviation, real estate, and infrastructure projects managed by Snohomish County. The event was a great opportunity to learn about Paine Field’s future and to get excited about the future of Snohomish County. Thank you to the Everett Chamber of Commerce for hosting an informative and exciting event.
