The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office continues to actively investigate the whereabouts of Jonathan Hoang who went missing from his home in March. The public is asked to keep an eye out for Jonathan and if spotted, take a picture and call 911 immediately. Jonathan has autism and can respond to his name, but may not be able to communicate further.
The public is also asked to share pictures and social media coverage of Jonathan to help raise awareness and bring Jonathan home to his family. Information about the search can be found here: https://snohomishcountywa.gov/Archive.aspx?ADID=7302
Our deputy staff and support staff have worked hard on this case just as they do with all the cases that have come in before and after this one. The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office takes their responsibility to the community seriously and many carry cases like this with them, on-duty, and off-duty. I'm sending my best wishes for a positive outcome.

Councilmember Nehring and I were selected as Chair and Vice Chair of council this year and we have been working to implement a series of family-friendly and wellness initiatives as part of our council leadership goals. One of the goals was to have an employee event and encourage more community events on the campus. The Executive and Human Services Department hosted “Snohomish County Family Day” on the county campus for county employees and their families to highlight our departments and have a fun time with lawn games, kids’ activities, music, and more. At the event, the county council had a booth to share more about the work that we do. There was also an opportunity to put a pie in a councilmember’s face! It was a great event and a wonderful turnout.
The county is the third largest employer in the county (after Boeing and healthcare providers) with approximately I take seriously the responsibility to support our county employees in ways that strengthen their ability to serve the public while also supporting their households. I thank each and every one of our 3,500 employees and am grateful for their public service.
Here’s some pictures from Family Day – including some of a pie in my face!
