RAP Spring Showcase
Last week, I attended the Regional Apprenticeship Program (RAP) Spring Showcase. The program is a county-wide, state-certified, pre-apprenticeship program located on the campus of Marysville-Pilchuck High School. This event highlighted the work of the students and staff of RAP. RAP helps students get started down the apprenticeship pathway to becoming trained professionals in the building trades. It was incredibly cool to see how passionate the students were about the program and the great work that they are doing through RAP.

YMCA Youth Advisory Group Debates
Last month, I had the great opportunity to attend the Mill Creek YMCA's Youth and Government debates. Youth and Government is a program that brings students (ages 13-18) together to discuss current events and issues important to them and their community, while building their public speaking, leadership, and debate skills. It was great to watch the students debate topics and issues that are important to them and our community. Attending events like this one give me a lot of hope for the future of our co,,imotu.
Mill Creek Leadership Update
Last month, I was able to meet with Mill Creek City Manager, Martin Yamamoto, to discuss priority areas for Mill Creek, future projects, and initiatives they're working on. I am really excited about the future of Mill Creek and I look forward to opportunities to collaborate with the great leaders of the community.

Economic Alliance Snohomish County Update
I recently attended the Economic Alliance of Snohomish County's Annual Awards. It was great to see a lot of familiar faces and the great work that EASC does to serve Snohomish County and our businesses.
