ORR Recovery Road Show

An Office of Recovery & Resilience (ORR) in-person pandemic recovery community event is taking place on Thursday, June 2nd, from 6:00-7:30pm at the Lynnwood Library. At this event, County Council District 3 communities will be able to help shape uses of the county’s $160 million American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) allocation to meet the recovery needs of our workers, families, and small businesses.
Issues that were identified through ORR’s conversations with community partners and local elected officials in the district include: childcare services, increasing affordable housing, supporting jobs and hiring, increasing shelter availability, increasing behavior and mental health services, and upgrading parks and other public amenities.
Event attendees will vote on their top three pandemic recovery priorities from within these identified issues. At 6:45pm, they can participate in a facilitated deep-dive discussion on the top three voted issues to identify recovery barriers and solutions.
Location: Lynnwood Library – 19200 44th Ave W, Lynnwood
Cities: Edmonds, Lynnwood, Woodway, and Unincorporated District 3
No Cost Snacks: A food truck from Yay Big. Yay High. Yay Ice Cream! will be on-site throughout the event.
No Cost Kids Activities: Imagine Children’s Museum will be providing free activities for elementary school-age kids on-site throughout the event.

In addition, the event will include resource tables where attendees can connect directly with Snohomish County and community-based services and resources. Participating organizations include the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Planning and Development Services, and Volunteers of America Western Washington.
Pride Month Kickoff Celebration

The Snohomish County Health District is working with partners to expand the availability of at-home COVID test kits, but there a few resources out there that are available to the public right now.
- Order up to 5 free tests per household via the WA State Department of Health
- Order 4 free tests per residential household via the U.S. Postal Service.
- Tests may be in limited supply, but are available to purchase at pharmacies, drug stores and some big box stores.
To report any positive results from an at-home test kit, people can use the WANotify App or contact the Department of Health Covid-19 hotline at 1-800-525-0127. The Snohomish Health District has recently created a video that helps employers understand what to do if they receive notice of a positive COVID-19 case from an employee.
