The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) has developed guidance for the next phase of COVID-19 vaccination. Current eligibility information, as well as information on how to get vaccinated, has been updated here. Vaccine supply is still limited, and it will take time to vaccinate everyone who is now eligible. We ask everyone to be patient as work continues to get Snohomish County residents vaccinated as quickly as possible.
Gov. Jay Inslee announced that starting Wednesday, March 31 more groups will be eligible to receive the vaccine according to the Healthy Washington – Roadmap to Recovery plan. See below.
Who is currently being vaccinated?
There is a phased approach to vaccinating against COVID. At this time, Phase 1a and 1b1 are being vaccinated, which includes:
Phase 1a
- Workers in health care settings
- High-risk first responders
- Residents and staff of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other community-based, congregate living settings where most individuals over 65 years of age are receiving care, supervision, or assistance
Phase 1b1
- All people 65 years or older
- People 50 years or older who live in multigenerational households (2 or more generations)*
- Teachers and childcare workers
Phase 1b2
- Workers in agriculture, food processing, grocery stores, public transit and public safety
- People over the age of 16 who are pregnant or have a disability that puts them at high-risk
Next phases starting March 31 (1b3 and 1b4)*
- Anyone with two or more comorbidities
- Anyone aged 60-64
- People who work in restaurants, food manufacturing and construction jobs
- Anyone in who lives in congregate settings, including group homes, jails and prisons
- Anyone experiencing homelessness who seeks services in group settings
*Example: An older adult who cannot live alone and is being cared for by a relative or in-home caregiver, or an older adult who shares the home with a grandchild.
If you are a member of these groups and have not been vaccinated please contact your primary care doctor or email: COVIDVaccine@snohd.org or call 425-339-5278.
We appreciate the strong interest being shown to register for vaccinations. However, due to limited supply coming into Snohomish County, you should understand your preferred location and slot may not be immediately available. We are working as diligently as possible to increase availability but are currently limited by low supplies from state and federal authorities.
If you do not fall within the above categories, you will be eligible in a future phase.
