Reminder: The fair is canceled, but food drive fun still planned Thursday

The Evergreen Fairgrounds in Monroe is hosting the Snohomish County Food Drive from 4 p.m.-7p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27. This drive-thru event includes prizes and food trucks. Read more details about the Snohomish County Food Drive here. It is estimated that 2.2 million Washingtonians may become food-insecure during the peak of the COVID-19 crisis. Help reduce the gap between the supply of food and the need by joining the 2020 Snohomish County Food Drive.

Arlington Drive-In Wi-Fi Hotspots

In response to the impacts of COVID-19, the City of Arlington is installing additional free hotspots to provide free internet access for families who have limited or no broadband service to their homes.

Arlington Public Schools hotspots: Families can park at any of the school buildings and access the guest network. The WiFi has been extended further into the parking lot at Haller Middle School and Presidents Elementary, as those sites have the best 24-hour access. The school district has received a grant from HP/Aruba for an outdoor antenna, and they plan to provide coverage to the student parking lot at Arlington High School.
