“Jam Packed Fun”
at the Evergreen State Fair
Grand Opening of The Evergreen State Fair 2019
We’ve officially kicked off the Evergreen State Fair for 2019! From now until September 2, come explore the Fair and celebrate Snohomish County’s rich agriculture heritage. This year, we are honoring the Fair Honoree of the Year, Don Ballard, and the 2019 Centennial Farm Family, the Tillman Family.
Don Ballard is our 4H Rabbit Superintendent, past Fair Advisory Board member, exhibitor, crochet prize winner, and fixture at the Fair for over 30 years. I appreciate all of the behind-the-scenes work Don does for the fair year round.
The Tillman Family have farmed in Washington since WW1. Their dairy farm started with 30 cows, all hand milked, and has grown into over 300 milking cows, with 200 heifers and young stock, and 330 acres, with an additional 600 acres of leased farm land.
Thank you to all the hard work and contributions of Don Ballard and the Tillman Family to Snohomish County! I hope you will join me at the Fair to honor these great folks.
There is something for everyone at the Fair this year from great food and drinks, to live music, a demolition derby, amusement rides, farm animals, and more! Check out some upcoming fun highlights:
- Friday, August 30th will be Military Day, with FREE admission for our Active or Veteran military personnel and immediate dependents with ID.
- We have the Maker’s Market back by popular demand, where our wonderful local artisans will be selling one-of-a-kind art work and craft goods.
- There are hundreds of FREE things to do at the fair, including live music and performances at the Courtyard Stage, fun contents, the petting zoo, the International Lumberjack Show, and much more!
