Hope you all had a happy and safe Fourth! Enjoy your summer!
As always, I'm honored to represent you. Please never hesitate to contact me with your concerns.
On June 20th, 2018 the Snohomish County Council passed Ordinance 18-037. This ordinance provides for submission to the qualified voters of the county a proposition authorizing a local sale and use tax of one-tenth of one percent (0.1%) for emergency communication systems and facilities. In this the council also adopted a new chapter to the Snohomish County Code – 4.30 SCC.
Snohomish County has the responsibility of appointing members to a committee that will write a statement for the measure (pro) and a committee that will write a statement against the measure (con). Committees are allowed to have up to three members. Council is seeking people to serve on either a pro or con committee for the ballot measure. If you are interested in serving on a committee, please submit a letter of interest to the Snohomish County Council no later than 5PM on July 16th, 2018.
