Community Transit Announces

July 4th Schedule

Community Transit has announced their service schedule for Wednesday, July 4th.  Local bus service (including SWIFT, DART paratransit service, and Sound Transit Snohomish County bus service, on Route 512 only) will be operating on their Sunday Schedule this holiday.  There will be no commuter service to downtown Seattle or University District.  Customer service phone lines and the RideStore at Lynnwood Transit Center will be closed.  As a reminder, fireworks of any kind are not allowed on Community Transit buses, in transit centers or in park and ride lots.  More information on route schedules can be found at the Community Transit website.

Lake Stickney Community Park

After years of work, both visible and behind the scenes, the Lake Stickney Community Park was recognized with a ribbon cutting on June 6, 2018.  While portions of the 24.5 acre park have been open during development, the play area and other amenities were celebrated by county officials, Parks Department staff and many of the community members that have been such a vital and supportive part of bringing this park to fruition.

Free Evergreen Speedway Tickets on Salute to Cities Night

The Evergreen Speedway is in its 64th year of operation and is one of the Top NASCAR Short Tracks in the country.  During the 2018 season, five nights have been chosen as Salute to Cities Nights to give back to the residents who have supported the track for so many years.  On Saturday, July 7th, residents of Brier, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mountlake-Terrace, and Woodway will be given two free tickets by presenting a photo ID that shows their matching city.  On these and all race nights, Military can attend for free (with Military ID,) as well as children 10 and under.  For more information on Evergreen Speedway or the “Salute the City” nights, visit their website or call 306-805-6117
