New City Manager Selected
The City Council voted on Tuesday, Nov. 19 to enter into negotiations with Jonathan Young as the new SeaTac City Manager. The Council’s selection was based on a review of 28 candidates, interviews with top candidates, and community input on the finalists. Find out more about Mr. Young's background here.

Puget Sound Fire Dedicates New Building
On Wednesday, Nov. 20, the Puget Sound Fire officially unveiled its new building in Kent, with SeaTac Interim City Manager Kyle Moore in attendance. This new building brings together staff from multiple locations to increase efficiencies. Plans for a new training tower located on the site are in the works.

Coming Up
Paint Recycling Event Saturday, Nov. 23 | 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. SeaTac BMX Track Recycle your paint! No limits on amounts but must be in original containers.
Special Council Study Session Tuesday, Nov. 26 | 4 p.m. Council Chambers at City Hall Public feedback will be accepted on the Envision SeaTac 2044 plan.
Food Drive Sunday, Dec. 1 | 12 - 4:00 p.m. SeaTac Safeway at Military Road and S. 164th St. The police department is hosting a food drive to collect non-perishable canned food, water, canned fruit and vegetables as well as canned soup. Donations will be delivered to the Tukwila Food Pantry.
Tree Lighting Event Friday, Dec. 6 | 5 - 9 p.m. SeaTac Community Center Enjoy the season with crafts and activities for the kids (bouncy houses, face painters, balloon artist), live music, carolers, a visit from Santa Claus, and a tree lighting at 5:20 p.m. The animated movie Small Foot will start at 7:30 p.m. All activities are free.
Habitat Restoration Volunteers Needed Saturday, Dec. 14 | 9 a.m. - noon North SeaTac Park Join us to plant trees and remove invasive plants. Two dates: Saturday, Dec. 14 and Saturday, Jan. 11.
HOLIDAY CLOSURE: City facilities will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, 29.

Give Input on Airport Plan
The SeaTac community is invited to give comments about the Seattle Airport Master Plan at an in-person meeting on Saturday, Nov. 16, 10 a.m. - noon at McMicken Heights Elementary School.
