Message from Interim City Manager, Kyle Moore
I am pleased to announce the release of my Preliminary Biennial Budget for 2025-26, totaling $366,151,215 in expenditures and ending balances. This budget aligns with our City Goals and Council Priorities, ensuring that taxpayer dollars are utilized efficiently. It maintains approximately $20 million in our four-month reserve while utilizing $7.7 million from our $27.3 million balance in excess reserves.
Key focuses include enhancing community events, implementing a new financial management system, and advancing affordable housing initiatives. We also aim to improve public safety, refine our community engagement strategy, and invest in infrastructure and economic development.
Here is a link to a digital version of the budget Title Page | 2025-2026 Preliminary Budget. The Council will hold a public hearing on the budget during the Special Council Meeting on Nov. 19.
Thank you for your continued support as we navigate these priorities and challenges.
