Mayor Egal Speaks at Chamber Event
Mayor Mohamed Egal shared key accomplishments by the City of SeaTac at the annual State of the Region reception (photo above). The event sponsored by the Seattle Southside Chamber featured the mayors of Burien, Des Moines, Normandy Park, SeaTac, and Tukwila (pictured in the top right photo). Meet the Council
Each month we will spotlight a different SeaTac City Councilmember. In this issue, we introduce you to Mayor Mohamed Egal who has been on the City Council since 2022. Proclamation on Domestic Violence
The City Council made a proclamation to raise awareness about domestic violence at its October 8 meeting. The proclamation was accepted by nonprofit partner, DAWN (Domestic Abuse Women’s Network). Read our SeaTac blog for more information and resources.

SeaTac Sponsors Refugee Conference
The City of SeaTac was a key sponsor of this annual Conference. Councilmembers Senayet Negusse, Peter Kwon, and Joe Vinson attended. Councilmember Negusse gave the opening address and Councilmember Kwon made remarks to close the conference.
This event brought together refugees, philanthropists, government officials, refugee and human services organizations, as well as members of the public to share ideas, build community, and promote effective policy responsive for the needs of refugees. Read more on the blog.

Weigh in on the City Budget
The SeaTac City Council and staff are currently developing a budget for fiscal year 2025-26.
SeaTac residents can learn about the budget proposal on the blog and give input on Friday, Oct. 18 from 3-6 p.m. The public can attend in person at City Hall or virtually.

City Manager Selection Update
The City of SeaTac City Council is in the process of selecting a new city manager and will make a selection with input from the community. Find out more about the hiring timeline and how to get involved at the link below.

 SeaTac Civic Campus?
The City is exploring the feasibility of replacing the current city hall with a civic campus that would house City and community services on one centrally located property. Your feedback is important, so take the short survey today.
