WDFW High Resolution Change Detection (HRCD) trainings
May 13, 2024, 2 - 3:30 p.m. and June 7, 2024, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., Olympia and online
This training program will seek to improve VSP counties understanding of HRCD data and support counties with the development and implementation of the VSP monitoring plan. Anyone interested in learning more about WDFW’s HRCD program is welcome to attend, including local partners, work group members, and GIS staff.
The May 13 training is structured for a general audience and the June 7 training will be geared more towards a technical/GIS audience.
VSP Monitoring Plan workshop
May 20, 2024, 9 - 11:30 a.m., online
This event will continue our collective discussions to:
- Clarify the monitoring plan expectations and review process.
- Support counties with the development of their VSP monitoring plans.
- Provide space for counties to share monitoring tools and resources with each other, establishing a community of practice around monitoring, and fostering connections in the VSP community.
Coordinated Resource Management (CRM) training
May 22, 2024, 2 - 4 p.m., online
Join an introduction to CRM with Ray Ledgerwood and learn:
- What CRM is and why it was developed.
- How it has been useful for common pool resource management in WA.
- How CRM fits with other programs projects, e.g., Voluntary Stewardship Program, WA Shrubsteppe Resiliency Initiative, and others.
- The status of CRM as of spring 2024 – resource needs, future directions, promising applications, and lessons learned.
VSP Joint meeting
June 4, 2024, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Spokane and online
Session Objective: Programmatic review and update from SCC staff; Discussion with counties of their implementation efforts, including monitoring, adaptive management, and preparation of their 10-year report. This meeting will feature time on the agenda for the following counties: Okanogan, Ferry, Pend Oreille, Spokane, Lincoln, and Stevens.
