The Riparian Grant Program work group has met three times so far and has had initial discussions on various topics. The work group has reviewed the proviso language, assembled reference documents and information relevant to our work, discussed permanent protection of riparian areas, and possible prioritization methods of geographic areas and projects. Notes and recordings from all three meetings can be found on the SCC riparian grant program webpage.
Future work group meetings will include further discussion around permanent protection, eligible BMPs, maintenance, monitoring, and reporting. Our target is to publish a full draft of programmatic guidelines for a 45-day review and comment period on Monday, Nov. 20.
