The State Conservation Commission is pleased to announce an open application period for Livestock Technical Assistance (LTA) Grants. The grant application period is now open through Monday, August 11. You can access the LTA program guidelines here and LTA grant application form here. The maximum amount that may be applied for is $20,000 per conservation district per biennium. Depending on demand and available funding, partial funding may be awarded. Grant awards will be valid through June 30, 2025. This is anticipated to be the only round of LTA Grants that will be conducted this biennium.
Funding available for LTA this biennium is extremely limited. We are strongly encouraging districts to seek funding through Sustainable Farms and Fields (SFF) for projects likely to be competitive. SFF has concluded its first application round this biennium. The next round is expected to open late this calendar year or early next. See the SFF program guidelines or contact Karen Hills for more information. Work that is a good match for SFF may be deprioritized for LTA funding.
