Dear Conservation Family,
You and the landowners you work with are in our hearts and minds every day as wildfires burn across our state. Some of you have shared with us the local impacts you’re seeing and anticipated needs for recovery — we want to help.
Limited funding for critical fire recovery technical assistance
The actual funding need is far beyond what we have in these difficult budget times, but we made shifts internally to create a limited pot of funding to support CD fire recovery technical assistance activities. Examples of eligible activities include:
- Outreach to landowners
- Site assessments
- Data collection on fire impacts/losses
The primary goal is to inventory losses and the associated financial assistance needs of landowners. This will help all of us as we look for potential funding sources to cover critical fire recovery needs.
