Volunteer at the Fourth on the Plateau

The City of Sammamish invites you to join us as a volunteer at the Fourth on the Plateau event on July 4, 2023. It's a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a memorable day filled with fun activities, and we need your help to make it a resounding success!

At this event, we'll be hosting various games and activities, and we are seeking enthusiastic individuals like you to lend a hand in running them smoothly. By volunteering your time and energy, you'll be an integral part of creating a vibrant and engaging experience for everyone in attendance.

Here are the event details you need to know:

Date: July 4, 2023 Time: 3:45 PM - 9:00 PM

As a volunteer, you'll have the chance to choose from a range of assignments, including:

• Monitoring bounce houses
• Roaming litter cleanup
• General event support

We want to ensure your safety and comfort during the event. Volunteers will be provided with snacks, water, safety vests, and dinner. Plus, for students seeking to complete their community service hours, this project is a perfect opportunity to make a positive impact while fulfilling your requirements.

Whether you're an experienced volunteer or eager to lend a hand for the first time, signing up is easy. Here's what you need to do:

If you have previously volunteered with the city, simply log in to your account and respond to the opportunity.

If you're new to volunteering with the city, create an account and sign the required waiver online. This agreement will remain valid for three years, giving you the chance to participate in future events as well.

If you're between 15 and 18 years old, you can create an account and have your parent or guardian sign the necessary waiver form via email. Minors under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult, so make sure your parent or guardian creates an account and responds as a team, indicating the number of spots reserved for your team/family. Remember, a printed waiver form for each minor aged 14 and under must be filled out and brought to the work site on the day of the event.

To request to work alongside a friend, please email fsanchez@sammamish.us by June 27th with the name of the person you would prefer to be paired with.

We will send check-in locations and specific assignments a few days before the event, so please keep an eye on your email for further details.
