Public Training Opportunity: Youth Mental Health First Aid

The City of Sammamish will be offering three upcoming training events to help youth in mental health crisis: Two opportunities for adults, and one training especially for teens to give peer-to-peer mental health support. We hope you'll help get the word out about this important resource.


YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID TRAINING FOR ADULTS
Youth Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that teaches
adults how to help youth who may be experiencing a mental
health or substance use crisis. Learn to identify, understand
and respond to signs of addiction and mental illnesses.
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 18
9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. | CWU Sammamish

PEER-TO-PEER TEEN MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT
This is a 2-hour course that teaches teens how to
identify, understand and respond to signs of addictions
and mental illnesses in yourself or others, and how to
connect and access local support resources.
