Derby Days Returns This July

REDMOND, WA - Redmond’s signature summer celebration returns when Derby Days 2026 rolls into town on Friday, July 24, and Saturday, July 25. The two-day festival will once again bring the community together for a lively weekend of entertainment, local traditions, and family-friendly fun at the Redmond City Hall campus and the Jerry Baker Memorial Velodrome.

Festivalgoers can look forward to live music, exciting bicycle races, colorful parades, an arts and crafts market, food vendors, and the popular Derby Days Beer and Wine Garden. The weekend concludes with a drone light show above City Hall, lighting up the summer sky with synchronized movement and vibrant LED displays.

“Derby Days is one of Redmond’s favorite traditions,” said Mayor Angela Birney. “It’s an opportunity for neighbors, families, and visitors to gather, celebrate the community, and enjoy a weekend full of fun.”

The celebration begins Friday evening, July 24, with live performances on the main stage at City Hall. At the same time, racing action heats up at Marymoor Park, as world-class cyclists take to the track at the Jerry Baker Memorial Velodrome. Young riders will also get their moment in the spotlight during the popular Kiddie Kilo race. After the races, the fun continues at City Hall where attendees can enjoy food trucks, live music, and the festive atmosphere of the Derby Days Beer and Wine Garden.

Saturday morning kicks off with the Kids Bike Parade, where young cyclists decorate their bikes and ride through the festival grounds. This is followed by the Derby Days Grand Parade, a community favorite featuring performers and local groups. Throughout the day, visitors can explore the City Hall campus for a variety of food options, shop at the arts and crafts market, and enjoy live entertainment.

New to Derby Days 2026, be sure to check out the Silent Disco and visit the Derby Days Kids’ Cove on City Hall campus, complete with bounce houses and a splash pad. Admission to the Kids’ Cove is $5.00 per child, payable when you arrive at Derby Days.

The weekend wraps up Saturday evening with the Derby Days drone light show, presented by Amazon. More than 100 drones will rise above City Hall, creating patterns and animations in the night sky in a choreographed display designed to delight audiences of all ages.

Derby Days 2026 is made possible by our generous partners: Microsoft, EvergreenHealth, Redmond Town Center, Ballard Natural Gas, Jerry Baker Memorial Velodrome, and Cascade Water Alliance.
