Successful Fútbol for All: Talk Sporty to Me with Jen Mueller Event

REDMOND, WA - Last night, nearly 40 community members joined veteran sports broadcaster Jen Mueller in Redmond’s Overlake neighborhood for Talk Sporty to Me, an opportunity to learn actionable conversation strategies for more effective workplace communication and how sports can build relationships. This was the second session in the City’s Fútbol for All Speaker Series.

Presented in partnership with Amazon and the Port of Seattle, Redmond’s Fútbol for All Speaker Series aims to bring the community together through a wide range of compelling presentations led by experts in each field. Presentations are free and open to the public.

The series will continue over the next several months. Have you ever wondered how photographers capture the magic of a game? On Feb. 11, sit down with Corky Trewin, a Sounders FC and Seahawks team photographer, to hear more. Curious about women’s soccer? Celebrate Women’s History Month with Lauren “Lu” Barnes and Reign FC players. All of these topics and more will be part of the series.

In addition to Fútbol for All, the City of Redmond has developed a comprehensive collection of other World Cup-focused programs and activities. Through its Redmond is Ready for the World campaign, the City aims to foster community pride and connection by engaging with residents and community members and supporting local businesses as they prepare for next summer, using the event as a catalyst to drive Redmond’s progress.
