Redmond Police Department Recognized for Excellence in Training Management

REDMOND, WA - The Redmond Police Department (RPD) was recently recognized for excellence in policy management in 2024 by Lexipol, the leading provider of training solutions that create safer communities. This is the fourth consecutive year RPD has been recognized.

The Lexipol Connect program tracks the Redmond Police Department’s performance on five metrics proven to measure success in training policy management. RPD achieved Gold recognition for consistent and effective online training management, which includes training hours assigned and completions tracked, personnel engagement, and external training activities logged.

"Achieving Lexipol Gold status isn't about recognition, it's about readiness,” Police Chief Darrell Lowe said. “It means our policies reflect best practices, our officers are well-trained, and our department is aligned with evolving legal standards and community expectations. This is how we stay prepared, transparent, and trustworthy."

RPD’s excellence in training management enhances community safety by helping personnel stay current with the latest tactics, technologies, and strategies.
