Mark Your Calendars: Redmond's Derby Days is Back This July
REDMOND, WA - Get ready, Redmond! The City’s signature summer festival returns with Derby Days 2025 on Friday, July 11, and Saturday, July 12. The weekend will be packed with excitement, tradition, and community spirit. Held at the Redmond City Hall campus and Jerry Baker Memorial Velodrome, this beloved event continues to showcase the best of Redmond with live music, exciting bicycle races, festive parades, a beer and wine garden, carnival rides, a dazzling drone light show, and an arts and craft market.
“Derby Days brings our vibrant community spirit to life,” said Mayor Angela Birney. “It’s the perfect blend of tradition, innovation, and fun. Whether it’s viewing the stunning drone light show, listening to local music, or watching the parade, there is something special for everyone to enjoy.”
The fun begins on Friday, July 11, with a full slate of live, local music on the Main Stage at City Hall. Meanwhile, the energy will be high at Marymoor Park, where cyclists take to the track at the Jerry Baker Memorial Velodrome, joined by young riders in the popular Kiddie Kilo event. Catch the racing action and then hop on a shuttle to Redmond City Hall to enjoy delicious food truck offerings and unwind in the Derby Days Beer and Wine Garden.
Saturday starts with a burst of color and creativity as families and young riders pedal their way through the Kids Bike Parade, followed by the vibrant Derby Days Grand Parade. Throughout the day, festivalgoers can take a shuttle to explore the Redmond Arts Festival at Redmond Town Center or immerse themselves in the lively atmosphere at City Hall, where carnival rides, an arts and craft market, food vendors, live performances, and more await.
As the sun sets, all eyes will turn skyward for the grand finale on Saturday evening — the Derby Days drone light show. Over 100 drones will illuminate the night sky above City Hall, combining cutting-edge LED technology with mesmerizing choreography to create a spectacular display for all ages to enjoy.
