Be Aware of Upcoming Construction
Redmond Central Connector (RCC) Phase 3 begins construction this week. This project will pave the gravel trail, add pedestrian crossings and lighting, and include landscaping along the trail. Work will take place Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. - 4 p.m., and may involve some temporary lane closures along Willows Road. The project is planned to be completed in June 2025.
Work to replace the sidewalk along the north side of NE 40th Street also begins this week. This project will replace three-quarters of a mile of sidewalk between 156th Avenue NE and Bel-Red Road with ADA-compliant six to eight-foot-wide sidewalks. Driveways will also be replaced in the project area. During construction, there will be intermittent lane closures along NE 40th Street and intermittent sidewalk closures. Pedestrian detours will be in place during sidewalk closures.
Always slow down near construction zones and follow the directions of signage and flaggers.
