Get Ready for Election Day and Vote Early

As we near the Nov. 5 presidential election, now is a great time to remember that voting is both our right and our duty, so make sure to cast your ballot. Here is some information about voting in Redmond:

  • Ballot boxes are located at Redmond City Hall (15670 NE 85th Street, Redmond, 98052), the Redmond Community Center at Marymoor Village (6505 176th Avenue NE, Redmond, WA 98052), and the Redmond Ridge at the Park and Ride (22845 NE Cedar Park Crescent, Redmond, WA 98053).
  • Ballot boxes will remain open from now through 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Please be careful in these areas and watch for cars/pedestrians returning their ballots. Also, due to an expected high volume of traffic, please do not park in the circle outside City Hall Nov. 4 - 5.
  • If you have not registered to vote yet, you have until Oct. 28 to register or update your registration online or by mail and until 8 p.m. on Nov. 5 to register and vote in person at one of King County’s Vote Centers.

The following city buildings and locations will close at 4 p.m. on Election Day: City Hall, Redmond Senior & Community Center, Redmond Community Center at Marymoor Village, Farrel-McWhirter Park, and the Old Fire House Teen Center.

Learn About the Impact of 2117 on Redmond

Redmond City Council voted unanimously to oppose Initiative 2117, which would repeal the state’s Climate Commitment Act (CCA). Redmond has benefited from more than $2.2 million in grants funded by the CCA to provide transportation improvements, climate mitigation and adaptation planning, and heat pumps for low-income community members through Energy Smart Eastside. If Initiative 2117 passes this November, Redmond will lose $1 million in grant funding for the first electric fire engine in the state.

No Lead in Redmond’s Service Lines

No Lead in Redmond’s Service Lines

In 2021, the US Environmental Protection Agency issued new rules requiring water systems across the country to check water service lines connected to their system and determine whether lead pipes are present by October 2024. Redmond completed this process earlier this year, and we are pleased to report that Redmond does not have any lead service lines.
