Redmond Police Seeks Assistance in Identifying Fatal Hit-and-Run Victim

REDMOND, WA - The Redmond Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a pedestrian in a hit-and-run fatality.

On Saturday, Sept. 14, at approximately 8:40 p.m., officers responded to the 8800 block of Redmond-Woodinville Rd. NE following reports that a vehicle struck a male pedestrian and then fled the scene.

The man was crossing the street when the collision occurred. The pedestrian is an unknown white male, likely in his late 60s to early 70s, wearing a yellow shirt and black pants.

The suspect fled the scene without providing aid to the victim, who had suffered major injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.

With the help of community members, police located the suspect vehicle and took the driver into custody without incident.

This remains an active investigation. Anyone with information about the victim's identity or details related to the incident is urged to contact the Redmond Police Department at 425-556-2500.
