Come Celebrate Art This Thursday at the Downtown Redmond Art Walk

We hope to see you at the second annual Downtown Redmond Art Walk (DRAW), beginning at 4 p.m. this Thursday, Sept. 19, in the Downtown corridor. This free, arts-centric event brings together Redmond’s local artists and businesses for an evening of art and togetherness. During the event, visit the Buoyant Pavilion in Downtown Park to enjoy poetry readings, part of Redmond poet laureate Ching-In-Chen’s Read Local Eat Local project. During the summer, Chen connected poets and local food establishments to celebrate the spirit of Redmond culture through poetry, and DRAW is the kick-off event for the community to enjoy these original poems, which will be available at participating locations through the fall. Also, while you’re in Downtown Park during the event, stop by and say hello to your City Council.

Take Part in Our Bike Friendly Communities Survey

Help us better understand how people are biking in Redmond, and what we can do to help make our city safer for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers in the future by filling out the Bicycle Friendly Community survey. The City of Redmond applied for the Bicycle Friendly Community Program with the League of American Bicyclists and this survey helps determine our status. We will also use the results and information for our Transportation Master Plan.

Learn About Changes to Utility Billing

Learn About Changes to Utility Billing

The City of Redmond will begin charging a $5 per transaction convenience fee for one-time credit and debit card Utility Billing payments on Oct. 1, 2024. The cost of providing customers with the option to make payments by credit or debit card has increased significantly in recent years. The City can no longer cover the additional cost, but does not want to remove this popular payment option and will implement a fee to cover the cost for customers who would like to continue paying this way. Customers who wish to avoid the convenience fee may pay with an electronic check (E-check), set up direct debit autopay from a bank account, by mail, or in-person at Redmond City Hall.
