Nearing Completion: Learn the Latest About Redmond 2050

Once every 10 years, cities in Washington state review their vision for their community and how to plan and build for the next few decades. Planning for growth helps us build a city that meets the needs of the community and reflects the vision for how the community will look and function. The Redmond 2050 process is entering the home stretch, looking at the implementation of the vision and policies that have been developed through extensive community engagement over the last few years. The Planning Commission approved a recommendation for the Redmond 2050 Comprehensive Plan and related updates to development regulations at their July 31 meeting.

Help Keep Our Community Safe

Help Keep Our Community Safe

If you see something suspicious, say something. Whether you’re out enjoying city events, shopping, dining out, or relaxing at home, if you notice suspicious behavior or situations, call 911 immediately. Examples of suspicious behavior or situations include an unattended backpack in a public place or someone trying to break into a vehicle, home, or restricted area. Even if you’re unsure what is going on, the safest thing to do is call the Redmond Police Department so that officers can investigate. You can also call the Redmond Police Department’s non-emergency number, 425-556-2500. Please keep a safe distance from the person or unattended bag until law enforcement arrives. Before reporting, remember that we are looking for observable behaviors and situations, not personal attributes or anything that would violate a person’s civil rights. If you see something, say something. Please notify local law enforcement immediately. Your vigilance could save property and lives.

Update: Redmond-Woodinville Road Closure Postponed

Update: Redmond-Woodinville Road Closure Postponed

Construction at the intersection of Redmond-Woodinville Road (SR 202) and NE 124th Street was delayed from its original schedule of Aug. 25 – 30 to a new schedule of Sept. 15 – 20. The intersection will be fully closed while crews work to install a new culvert and fish passage as part of a Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) project, which will reopen 3.5 miles of stream habitat that fish are currently blocked from reaching. Work will continue into the fall with partial lane and shoulder closures. Always slow down and drive safely near road work zones.
