Join Us for Rockin’ on the River
Our free summer concert series returns this week on Wednesday, Jul. 31 with an evening of music, food, and dancing. This is the first of three concerts. Each one begins at 5:30 p.m. and takes place on the Great Lawn between the Redmond Senior & Community Center and City Hall.
Did you know that there is a new federal program to support families who lose access to free school meals over the summer months? Thanks to SUN Bucks, families with eligible school-aged children can get $120 per child to buy groceries during the summer.
Stop by Redmond City Hall (15670 NE 85th Street) from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7, to drop off school supplies for KidVantage’s back-to-school campaign. School supplies and clothing are needed. When you arrive, look for the KidVantage Van.
Redmond is considering creating a fee system for businesses that block the public right-of-way, such as sidewalks, parking spaces, or vehicle lanes for more than two weeks at a time. Help us find the right balance between the needs of local businesses and the community by reading about the proposed policy and completing a short questionnaire.

The intersection of 166th Avenue NE at NE 76th Street in downtown Redmond will close as Sound Transit crews work to restore the roadway as part of the Redmond Link Extension. The closure is scheduled from 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 3, to 5 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31. The intersection will be reopened for the weekend of Aug. 16–18. Drive slowly near construction zones, and follow posted signage for access and detours.
