Redmond Seeks Volunteer Salary Commissioners
REDMOND, WA - The City of Redmond is seeking applicants for seven available seats on the Redmond Salary Commission. The commission sets the salaries of Redmond City Council members but may not impose duties, obligations, or expectations on City Council positions.
Commissioners are nonpartisan volunteers who must be City of Redmond residents and must adhere to state and local laws, codes, and rules governing commissions, including City of Redmond Ordinance 3166.
The time commitment is approximately two meetings per month for three months, starting Aug. 1 through Oct. 31, 2024, with other special meetings as scheduled. The term is up to 4-years as assigned. Commissioners are strongly encouraged to complete training in Open Public Meetings Act requirements prior to the Aug. 1 start date.

There is no deadline to apply, but an initial screening of applicants will begin by June 11, 2024. Final confirmation of all selected commissioners is scheduled for July 16, 2024.
