Slow Down for National Work Zone Awareness Week
It is National Work Zone Awareness Week, and Redmond crews are busy working on our roads, water, sewer systems, and other works sites across the City. When driving near work areas:
- Slow down
- Avoid distractions and always be alert and focused
- Follow traffic control devices, signs, and markings
- Watch for workers - never assume workers aren’t present if you don’t see them right away
- Follow all instructions from traffic control flaggers
Thank you for keeping all members of our community safe.

Help Make Roads Safer
Join us at noon on Saturday, May 11, for a walk in the Education Hill neighborhood to improve the City’s transportation safety. During this two-hour walk, participants will discuss safety concerns for pedestrians, cyclists, transit users, and other road users. This walk is part of the City’s Safety Action Plan and Community Road Safety Assessment, which will create tools to strengthen our community’s approach to roadway safety and prevent serious harm. Let's work together to make our roads safer! Registration is required, and high school community service hours are eligible.

Learn About Redmond Senior & Community Center and Municipal Campus Parking
As a reminder, with the opening of the Redmond Senior & Community Center in May, as well as to accommodate the needs of our community and ensure accessible parking for all, there are upcoming parking changes at the Municipal Campus that take effect May 3, 2024. Visitors may park in three areas: the surface lot next to the Redmond Senior & Community Center, on the first floor of the Municipal Campus parking garage, and in the parking lot in front of City Hall. In the coming months, parking in designated areas will be time-restricted in order to efficiently manage parking space. More details about time-restricted parking will be shared as they become available.
