The City invites artists to submit their work for future group exhibitions at the Redmond Senior & Community Center, scheduled to open in May 2024. This initiative aims to provide regional artists with a platform to showcase their work in a public setting. Artists working with a wide range of media are encouraged to apply.
The City is updating its Critical Areas Regulations to ensure compliance with adopted legislation and the best available science. These regulations provide for protection and mitigation measures when developing properties near wetlands, streams, floodplains, geologic hazards, and aquifer recharge areas. The updates are also being done in coordination with Redmond 2050 and to provide clarity. The Planning Commission begins formal review of the proposed regulations on March 13. As they deliberate the proposal and make their recommendation to the City Council, they will hold multiple study sessions and a public hearing, which is tentatively scheduled for April 10.
Join a free HAM radio class to learn the basics of how to operate a HAM radio and the certification process. Radio can be an engaging hobby and a useful skill. A Regional Coalition for Housing (ARCH) has one position available on their Community Advisory Board. The CAB primarily advises the ARCH Executive Board on funding recommendations for affordable housing. CAB members attend monthly hybrid meetings. Applications are due by Friday, March 15.
