Celebrate the Season with Redmond Lights
In this month’s Redmond Connections video, Mayor Birney and Parks and Recreation Director Loreen Hamilton share all the fun and exciting things the community can enjoy at this year’s Redmond Lights, including the return of the luminary trail. Use #RedmondConnections on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to share your favorite winter tradition or special moment from Redmond Lights.
Join Us This Week for the Redmond Lights Kick-Off Event
Bundle up and bring the entire family for an evening of winter fun at the Redmond Lights Kick-Off Event on Saturday, Dec. 2. From 4 – 8 p.m., the luminary trail will connect Downtown Park and Redmond Town Center by way of the Redmond Central Connector. Both sites will host ongoing performances, craft activities, and more!
Parking enforcement in Downtown will change to 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, effective Jan. 1, 2024, impacting on-street parking and the Redmond Central Connector lot. Additionally, parking enforcement will no longer issue warnings and vehicles that are in violation of the on-street parking restrictions will be ticketed.
Stay Informed About EV Upgrades to the City Hall Parking Garage
You may notice some work near the east entrance to the City Hall parking garage over the next few weeks. This work is part of a project to improve the electrical vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in the garage for the City’s growing EV fleet, one of the many ways the City strives to make its operations more sustainable.
The City’s Operating Support Grant application is open. This grant offers limited, unrestricted support to eligible organizations in Redmond whose missions serve the community through access to arts, arts education, and cultural heritage experiences. In addition to funding, the City will provide access to resources and additional support and opportunities for grantees.
