Routes to Rails

Visit the Routes to Rails Pilot Project

The Routes to Rails pilot project launched in early June and focuses on increasing access to routes the community will take to travel by light rail. Specifically, the pilot adds additional wayfinding signage to the Heron Rookery Trail. The pilot project will be active through June 28, and we encourage you to visit the pilot installation and share your feedback. There are signs at each end of the trail, where trail-goers can scan a QR code to take a brief questionnaire about their experience with the pilot. Completing the questionnaire gives you a chance to win a $50 gift card.

Dog Park

Take Your Pup to the Pop-Up Dog Park

Have you been to the pop-up dog park at Luke McRedmond Park (15811 Redmond Way)? The location opened this spring and will remain open until the fall. The off-leash area is fenced and welcomes both small and large dogs. While you visit, let us know your thoughts about the dog park. Your feedback will help shape future potential off-leash dog areas in Redmond.

Financial Reporting Excellence

Redmond Recognized for Excellence in Financial Reporting

The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has awarded the City of Redmond the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. The GFOA specifically recognized the City for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year that ended on Dec. 31, 2021, which they found demonstrates a “constructive ‘spirit of full disclosure’ to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.”

Water Systems Plan

Review the Water Systems Plan

The Water System Plan ensures that the City continues to protect its underground drinking water resources and provides sufficient water storage and distribution to meet the drinking water, irrigation, and fire flow needs of residents and businesses over the next 20 years. The plan identifies areas in Redmond’s Water Utility System where reservoirs, pipes, pumps, and other water infrastructure need to be extended or replaced.
