Celebrate Pride Month
Mayor Birney proclaims June as Pride Month and invites everyone to celebrate, honor, dignify, and protect our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, asexual, intersex, and two-spirit members of the community. We affirm the City's commitment to align our values and practices so that everyone in the greater Redmond community can enjoy a life without prejudice, bias, and/or discrimination.

Learn How Street Sweeping Helps Streams
The City of Redmond has started an increased street sweeping project of the 3.53 miles of public roads within the Tosh Creek Watershed. A WaterWorks grant from King County Wastewater Treatment Division is funding the additional street sweeping, which is weather-dependent, on the third Saturday of the month. Testing will be conducted to see if increased street sweeping improves water quality in Tosh Creek. If you live in the Tosh Creek Watershed, please avoid parking on the streets during the third weekend of each month.

Volunteer with a City Board or Commission
Serving on a board, commission, or committee is a way for community members to volunteer and get involved with their city government. Redmond’s various boards, commissions, and committees serve the City in numerous ways, including rendering advice to City Council, reviewing and making recommendations on land use and other related regulations, and taking public testimony on behalf of the City. Redmond is seeking volunteers for the following:
- Arts and Culture Commission
- Library Board of Trustees
- Parks, Trails, and Recreation Commission
