Help Inform New City Guidelines for Leaf Blowers
Gasoline-powered leaf blowers produce emissions and ambient noise pollution. The City of Redmond would like to hear from you as we evaluate actions regarding their use. Complete the following questionnaire by May 31 to help inform the next steps.
Meet firefighters, police, and other first responders for a fun, interactive, and educational event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, at Redmond City Hall.
Review the Stormwater Management Action Plan for Monticello Watershed
The draft plan details activities the City can take to improve water quality and habitat in the watershed located in northwest Redmond. Visit the City’s website to learn more about how the City is working to restore Redmond’s watersheds, review the plan, and share your feedback.
Over one million Sockeye salmon fry are produced yearly in Bear Creek. This past fall, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife also set up a Passive Integrated Transponder (PIT) array in Bear Creek, upstream of Union Hill Road. The rice-grain-sized PIT tags are implanted in the larger juveniles at the fish trap, and the array detects tagged juveniles moving within Bear Creek and adults as they return in the fall, improving understanding of the health of the fish population.
